Ready to Write Your Natural Health Self-Help Book?

Do you love Burt’s Bees, Reishi tea, yoga, meditation, Zen wisdom and organic foods? Do you believe in the body’s innate wisdom, living in harmony with nature and treating the whole self, mind-body and spirit? I do too. That's why I'm a book coach who works with writers like you.
If you’re a natural health expert, a yoga teacher, herbalist, acupuncturist, therapist, alternative, holistic, integrative or functional medicine practitioner, you have an impressive breadth of knowledge honed over years of practice but you may not know how to take what you know and turn it into a cohesive, reader-friendly and market-ready self-help book.
Does this Sound Like You?
-
You have a burning desire to share your knowledge, establish yourself as a thought leader, and grow your brand.
-
You're trying to write your book or book proposal on your own but often find yourself stuck, struggling or stressed.
-
You've tried workshops, conferences, critique groups—but what you really need is one on one support.
-
You were excited about writing your book, and channeling the knowledge you have with readers, but now that joy had turned into drudge work (that you now avoid) and you feel stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. You may even feel shame because you can’t get your book written.
Make Writing Your Book a Joy-Full Experience
When we work together writing your natural health self-help book becomes faster, easier and more Joy-Full. Your mindset is positive because you have direction and purpose. You clearly see a path forward and you follow it. You sustain and build on your passion for your book idea as you write it.
This means that when it’s published, readers feel your passion, joy, and purpose. This changes everything. Your writing is ALIVE.
My job as a book coach is to transform the process of writing your book from drudge work into a Joy-Full experience and turn you into a confident writer that writes and finishes a book you're proud to share with your readers and the world.

Hi, I’m Chrystle Fiedler The Natural Health Book Coach
When I get on Zoom call with a writer for the first time, I often see and hear stress, fear and overwhelm. Many experts want to write a book but don’t know how. When I got my first book contract in 2009, I didn’t know how either! I was a journalist and content creator so surely that would help, right? It did, to some degree. The rest was trial and error. And not much fun.
Since then I’ve written 12 books and edited and coached many others for Big Five publishers—including Simon & Schuster and Penguin Random House—as well as The Quarto Publishing Group USA, UK, HCI Books and The Collective Book Studio.
As an Author Accelerator certified nonfiction book coach, my superpower is helping author-experts to develop, structure, write, and revise self-help nonfiction to produce reader-friendly and market-ready books that transform lives.
My mission is to save you from stress, fear and overwhelm and help you organize and write your self-help book in a way that transforms you, your readers and the world. Let's talk!

Why Should I Hire a Book Coach or Editor? Can't I Just Do it Myself? Working with me as your book coach makes the process of writing a natural health self-help book easier because you’ll know exactly where you need to go and have a roadmap, along with expert editorial guidance, feedback and support to get you there. It means getting help in real-time so if you run into problems, you have a sounding board and solid solutions to help you move forward. As a result, you become a more confident writer and the process is much more enjoyable and energizing! My mission is to transform the drudge work of writing a book into a truly JOY-FULL experience for you. One that impacts you, your readers and the world. Wherever you are in your book writing journey I can help.
How Do You Work with Clients? I offer a Free Book Coaching Strategy Call, Put My Brain on Your Book AMA Sessions, The Natural Health Self-Help Roadmap and the Natural Health Self-Help Book Camp. I can also help you craft a book proposal that sells if you want to pursue a traditional publishing deal. You'll find the link to Book Coaching at the top of this page.
We're a Good Match If You Are: A natural health and wellness expert and have a burning desire to share what you know to help readers transform their lives. If you’re willing to adopt what's known as “beginner’s mind,” which means you're open to the process of book coaching as it unfolds and evolves. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't have an opinion, you should! but it's also helpful to understand what you don't know to learn what you need to know. This means you’re willing to solve the problems with your book, whether it's defining your idea, method or plan, your book proposal, your pitch or your manuscript. You’re also open to feedback, suggestions, and advice and are willing to make necessary changes to your book proposal and/or book to improve your message as it evolves. Our relationship needs to be one of mutual respect in order to move you towards your goal: the best book that you're capable of writing.
Is it a Good Idea to Write a Book? Yes! Writing a nonfiction book is a smart move whether you're a yoga teacher, an herbalist, psychologist, doctor or any type of health and wellness expert. You can share what you know with a wider audience, establish yourself as a thought leader, make an impact and grow your brand. You Can Use Your Book: •To help readers transform their lives in a positive way. •To educate your clients or patients about your method, plan or program. Instead of giving each one handwritten instructions, you can give them a complete approach from A to Z. •To land interview requests about your subject matter whether it’s for print, radio, the internet, podcasts or TV. This further establishes you as an expert and builds your presence as a thought leader. •To supersize your content. You can use and repurpose book content for speeches, blog posts, articles, newsletters, in person and on-line courses. • To help you land speaking gigs. Defining who you are, what you do and what you believe in through your book makes it easier for people to find and book you. •To give in-person workshops in your hometown, at universities, associations, green companies, organizations. Bonus you can sell your book to participants too. •To book consulting gigs with people or organizations who want to know what you know and learn what you have to teach them. Maybe you can teach Buddhist stress reduction techniques or mindfulness meditation to accountants or lawyers or business people. •And of course, The Big Kahuna: To get booked for a Ted Talk and boost your visibility, way, way up!

Part 1: The Natural Health Self-Help Book Roadmap

Deep Roots Make Strong Books
This is for you if you’re writing your first (or second or third) book and want to establish a solid foundation, vision, and direction to make writing faster, easier, enjoyable and give you a reader-friendly and market-friendly self-help book.
-
You’re a natural health and wellness expert who believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness, rather than conventional medicine’s symptom-based treatment.
-
You believe that a natural approach is often the best way to support the body’s innate healing mechanisms and elevate mind, body, and spirit.
-
You have a burning desire to write a book to share your BIG idea, your unique point-of-view, your method, plan or approach and your passion for natural healing.
But are you unsure about where to start? Or maybe you started and stalled out?
If you’re like most natural health experts, you have an impressive breadth of knowledge honed over years of practice but you’re not sure how to take what you know and turn it into a cohesive, reader-friendly and market-friendly self-help book.
Imagine How You’d Feel if You Could…
🌿 Get clear about why your natural health self-help book matters to you
🌿 Identify what problem you’re solving for readers
🌿 Focus on your best idea and point of view
🌿 Identify your ideal reader and why they need your book
🌿 Define your method, approach, or plan for real reader results
🌿 Create a structure that makes writing easier
🌿 Write and revise pages with clarity and confidence
With the right roadmap, everything changes. You’ll know exactly what to do before you write Chapter 1.
Think of a plant. It needs strong roots to grow and thrive. So does your book.
Planting deep roots frees you up to focus on your message, not the mess that comes when you try to DIY. It also helps you to grow and blossom as a writer naturally.
In the Natural Health Self-Help Roadmap, we’ll take a deep dive into your big book idea and establish a solid foundation for a transformative self-help book you’ll love. You’ll create a clear roadmap for your book that will save you time and energy and reduce stress, frustration, self-doubt and overwhelm.
That’s because you’ll know exactly what you want to do, where you’re doing and how to get there. This beats just winging it, writing alone, without expert editorial feedback (hint: that’s me) or any idea if you’ll ever reach your destination. To do this, we’ll take a deep dive into your motivation, inspiration, hopes and dreams for your book.
I’ll be right (write) by your side and help you plant strong roots and create a solid foundation for the book you want to write. By the time our work is done you'll:
-
Have defined your book idea and how it solves an important pain point or problem for your readers.
-
Know why you're the perfect person to write this natural health self-help book.
-
Have refined your natural health method, plan or approach so that it’s clear, concise and reflects your knowledge, passion and unique point-of-view and helps readers feel better emotionally, mentally, and physically or maybe all three.
-
Understand who your ideal reader is and your audience and have ideas of how to reach them.
-
Know where your book fits on the shelf.
-
Have created a structure, a Table of Contents, chapter template and a narrative design that serves your mission, makes writing easier and serves your reader’s needs.
$999 USD | The Natural Health Self-Help Book Roadmap Includes:
-
A 45-Minute Welcome Call
-
The Blueprint for a Nonfiction Book Worksheet 9-pages (a popular Author Accelerator writer’s tool) to define your BIG idea, pin it to the page and plan your book.
-
Constructive, high-touch, intensive editorial feedback and in-line comments in Track Changes (Microsoft Word) of the Blueprint to help you dig deeper, find clarity and make an effective plan to write your book.
-
Editorial letter (2-3 pages) with action steps.
-
Three 60-minute Zoom calls to take a deep dive into your Blueprint answers to help build your book’s foundation.
-
Feedback and evaluation of up to 20 pages of your book-in-progress.
-
Feedback on your introduction and Chapter 1 once you begin writing your nonfiction book or book proposal.
-
E-mail support.
By the time we’re done you’ll have a Natural Health Self-Help Book Roadmap and a crystal-clear (see what I did there?) idea of what your book is, have a plan for how to write it and feel confident about moving forward.
If you want a traditional publishing deal you'll need a book proposal next to send to agents which builds on the roadmap and I can help you create one that sells. Self-publishing authors can move directly into Part 2.

Part 2: The Natural Health Self-Help Write & Revise Book Camp
A Guided Program to Help You Finish a Reader-Friendly and Market-Ready Manuscript.
This is for you if you’re on a deadline to finish your manuscript, either for yourself or your publisher.
Writing under a deadline can be stressful. Although chamomile tea, yoga and mediation can help to calm you, what you really need to do is take action and for someone to give you editorial feedback, guidance, support and accountability in real-time as you write and revise.
Otherwise, it’s easy to lose perspective, write in circles, and not finish. Having a publishing pro/editor/cheerleader (hint: that’s me) by your side makes writing faster, easier and more enjoyable.
Most importantly, you’ll finish your book—without losing momentum, clarity, or confidence along the way.
Most writers start, but don't finish their books. Not because they don't have the knowledge and expertise but because if you write without support it’s very easy to:
-
Second-guess your idea, content and overall message.
-
Get lost without a structure based on your method or plan that makes it much easier to write and finish your book.
-
Lose momentum.
-
Struggle, stall or stop.
But with the right support, you keep writing and make real progress. That's because you:
-
Are clear about your idea, content and overall message.
-
Have a solid book and chapter structure that you can count on.
-
Keep your momentum going with expert editorial support and feedback.
-
Get unstuck quickly.
-
Know what to do next.
-
Finish your book.
By the end of Natural Health Self-Help Book Camp, you’ll have:
A complete manuscript that is reader-friendly and market-ready that reflects your knowledge, expertise and unique point-of-view that you feel confident sending to your publisher or sharing with readers.
Whether you have a contract to write your book or are self-publishing The Natural Health Self-Help Book Camp is a high-touch intensive package: a combination of developmental editing and book coaching, a thorough and complete process that will help you write and revise your manuscript.
You’ll receive:
-
A big picture assessment and evaluation of the content and structure of your manuscript.
-
A revised book and chapter structure that serves your big idea and takes readers on a transformational journey and makes writing easier.
-
Edits, queries and suggestions to make your content clear, engaging, and to ensure the book's tone is reader friendly, encouraging, authoritative and positive.
-
A professional manuscript that you can be proud of.
$999/per month USD Includes:
-
Two deadlines per month to submit up to 25 pages of your manuscript for review. I’ll provide editorial and in-line comments in Track Changes (Microsoft Word) and make line edits (this is an incredibly helpful element which will help you improve as you write).
-
Two 60-minute phone/ZOOM calls a month (after you’ve submitted pages for review) to discuss my feedback, your progress, and plan next steps.
-
E-mail support.
-
Editorial guidance, support, feedback, and accountability.
By the time you finish the Natural Health Self-Help Book Camp, you’ll have a polished manuscript that's reader-friendly and market-ready that you can submit to your publisher or self-publish. If you're self-publishing I also recommend a light copyedit and proofreading.
